The 2011 edition of the annual Nigerian Breweries sponsored musical concert, Star Mega Jam has been cancelled. According to a press statement signed by the organiser's Corporate Affairs Adviser, Yusuf Ageni, the concert was cancelled because some logistic challenges could not be overcome. The company regrets all inconveniences this will cause the fans, who have been eagerly awaiting this year's edition of Star Mega Jam.
The concert which is usually headlined by an international act have had the likes of Shaggy, Usher Raymond, Koffi Olumide, Ja Rule, Kevin Little, LL Cool J, Akon, Kanye West, T-Pain, Nas, Nelly, Busta rhymes, Ludacris and most recently R.Kelly perform in Nigeria.
This will be the second major annual entertainment event to be cancelled this year after reports revealed that the Sound City Music Video Awards will not hold this year too.

ReplyDeletestar might be broke
ReplyDeleteThat is pointless. They make alot of money from Nigerians
ReplyDeleteOne thing a lot of you don’t know is this. Star can afford to bring Drake even while he is on top of his game now. But the corporate affairs managing this from Nigerian breweries use this as a means of fraudulent acts. What they do is this, the company pays for a well-known reigning star, while the people in charge go ahead and divide the money into two and then invite an international artiste who is no longer relevant. When R Kelly was on top of his game, why didn’t they bring him? But they brought him, when the guy’s career was almost finished. That is how they make thousands of Dollars out of Nigerian breweries. It’s all fraud, wiring money. That’s all.
