  4. Anon 11.35.....Makari do no stock bleaching products, we understand that people have misconception about our products, but I tell you our products are free from hydroquinone, steroids and mercury....and out of all our products we only have (1) that contain some active ingedients and one of it is toning, the rest are everyday skin products to achieve glow all year round...Our weather is harsh, hence our body needs nutrients; otherwise, one wl end up with dirty skin color, and these can be found n our skin care products from soap to body lotions.

    Hope this helps....Thank you

Makari Nigeria Limited; okay the banned substances like hydroquinone, steroids and mercury are absent yet your website says bleach or lighten your skin naturally! Your comment is misleading and if you work there you need to do better PR on the statements you put out. On your website I've looked at the ingredients and most of your products have citric acid, liquorice, allantoin, mulberry root, triclosan, sodium this and that which are all bleaching agents. Bleaching cream companies have circumvented the banned products and are now cunningly using these "compounds" in their products. Yes advertise, but don't fool those who don't read the small print!!

  8. @makari Nigeria limited, pls stop embarrassing yourself. You mean you really believe that stuff? Is that how you sell the products? That's very misleading & dishonest of you.

Makari does lighten the skin. Wether it's a good product is a different matter. You have the whitening soap etc.

Sell it as it is. All the companies have had to modify their use of banned substances, mist use various acids, be it "natural" as they say.

  9. @NwayiGinika....Our products are free from d chemicals I mentioned earlier and it's not in my capacity to disclose to anyone the Ingredients the scientists used in making Makari products...If you have had any bad experience from using the products, you may please direct it to us and we will address it once your products was either purchased from d dealers on Makari website contact corner. We pride ourselves in what we do.

We do understand some people are heavy on bleaching and they do mix products after not getting the satisfaction they desire from Makari thereby messing up their skin or purchasing fake products and saying 'makari is makari'...In such cases, we cannot take responsiblity...apart from that, we r sincerely open to criticism.

Take for example, Palmers skin success, which is banned all over the world due to its high content of hydroquinone still managed its way into Nigeria market....If we do have any harmful Ingredients in any of our products, we will surely not put them out for sale to consumers, skin care products manufacturers are constantly on their toes all over the world to churn out the best products without harmful contents and Makari is not an exception.

    Thank you
    Thank you.

  12. Makari Rep. I don't go by Ms and Nwanyi means "woman" in Ibo. My name is Ginika!

You have now reproduced a scripted response.

I don't use Makari and i've never used it. I was just responding to your post and i went to your portal to read the small print. Your post was written in bad taste re-you typing about dirty colour and all. With that statement you are encouraging women to bleach because the weather is harsh! That's naff!!!

u Gin - kpaya, until u tell me how u consulted a dietician before u started eating rice, gaari, drink water and so on and if ur dermatologist that u consulted gave u all d ingredients inside lux soap and klin soap that u use to wash ur stinking clothes...u need to keep ur damn mouth shut..GTF out of here....wt ur different strange names u plant here nicompus

    3. I just had my Clarifying gel and Exfoliating soap delivered. I live in the USA. I have had a problem with my skin for about 3 years now. I used to have flawless mid chocolate skin that even white people loved! Since my skin complications my self esteem was affected to some extend. My dermatologist subscribed tones of products "approved in medical field" and non really work. With so much desperation I started doing my research on what would work for me. I will say that the Caviar glycerin has wonderful moisturizing effects and my skin already feels good after just a couple of days. I hope I wont be disappointed.

  36. thank you all for your beautiful comments;

@2012bride, yes we do stock wide range of products for dark/chocolate skin, these products will not lighten ur skin but gives you the glow and supple skin you desire - we have body lotion, soap, toner and so on,thank you

    ReplyDelete
  37. please note, the toner is not a lotion - but a spray on toner like face cleansing tonic, the only difference is this is spray-on and you avoid using cotton wool on ur face while using your toner, it comes in a pump spray and u just spray and leave on to dry.

this is coming a bit late but hope I will get a response
Back in the states where I used to live there were coupons we used to get discounts

pls when will you introduce coupons in the nigerian market
wether to use online or in your stores
and when will you open a shop in Abuja?
or as an alternative where can we get original makari in Abuja.
    thanks a bunch

    ReplyDelete
  47. hi @elenurazor,

We dont use coupons but we do promos all d time, couple of months ago we had BOGOF on our beautifying milk, and presently we have 'buy certain amount and get a bottle of perfume free'

We usually put our promos on bb & facebook page and we do give free samples in-store as well.

No, we r not comng to Abuja soon as we are working on a branch in Port Harcourt. If we get enough requests for Abuja store, we may look into that. But for now, we do courier to all the states n Nigeria including Abuja.

    Thank you.

Hi Leslie, beautifying milk is not for dark skin people, its actually for light skin, chocolate and so on, ur cream should be antiseptic lotion and antiseptic soap, these 2 wl soften ur skin and make it glow, you should start seeing the results after 1-2 bottles if you have the original. good luck!
