Oyo State First Lady Was Not Arrested In London - Festus Adedayo

The Oyo State Government has said Mrs Florence Ajimobi was not arrested in London for any offence whatsoever. Here is the statement made known by them to the press.

“We want to state unequivocally that this report is not only wicked, it is the figment of the imagination of the writers. Mrs. Ajimobi was never arrested for any offence whatsoever. Even though our investigations have shown that this is the work of some arrowheads of the opposition, it was done in such an amateurish way that beats the imagination of any responsible reader.

The government said that though it had a lot of respect for the media, there was the need to drag the runners of these media to court to explain the details of their reports to the rest of the world.

The government decried what it called dirty politicking by the opposition in the state who use the media for the propagation of their falsehood, stating that the courts would be able to compel those behind this wicked lie to provide details of the veracity or otherwise of their claims on the governor’s wife.

  1. Well , as i said on LI blog it is 50/50 ..... MR Festus where is her exact location (first lady) . If she can appear on TV this evening in ibadan then the gist is as fake as Kim Kardashian ASS....if she is truly out of the country then it is highly possible that it is TRUE.

Forget denial, what will he say before, confirm it abi do damage control . Some media are saying they call the MET police, OLODO... one can not confirm or deny because of non disclosure things, the MET cant confirm such till later since it happened yesterday .

For now i am on the fence and see how it plays out . Nothing hidden under the sun stays hidden forever

  6. I'll choose to believe the Government's spokesperson. How come the Met have not issued any formal statement regarding her arrest, neither is the report on the web of London Met. The news outlet that disseminated this information claimed it happened two weeks ago and that Fayemi was held for 26 days for money laundering in the UK. This is more of a smear campaign

  7. What sot of information did you expect to get over the phone? My experience with the Met is that they can only give out such information when they know what you needed it for or know you because of Data Protection.

  12. Do you really think the MET police will release formal statement about her arrest, is she the Queen of england .......she is a nobody her ooo. Also the person saying Press briefing , you mean telephone conversation. Mrs Ajimobi has confirmed she is in london at the moment , however denies been arrested.
