How Many People Are Willing to Die for Nigeria?

Hi Ladun, happy Sunday. I was listening to Info Fm. Matse was on and she talked about the Bayero's guards who lost their lives to protect their Emir. And she asked how many people can do what those palace guards did. Lay down their lives for our country. It is interesting to know that about 90% of people who called and sent in sms gave a resounding NO, NEVER, Lailai, God forbid answers.

Someone now said, since it is only Government officials and a few other individuals who benefit from the country's wealth, they and their family members should be the ones to die for Nigeria.

Do you agree with this person? Can you die for our dear country, Nigeria?

  1. For why? GOD forbid. Lai lai. The abacha's, yar'adua's, obasanjo's, babangida's, atiku's and buhari's should be sacrificed for Nig o. After that we can start wiping them out at state level. All past and serving ministers should also be held accountable.

No, I cannot. Even Government officials and their families don't want to die for Nigeria.

Those guards are licensed to kill and to protect. Similar to ADCs. I was told a long time ago that it's part of their contract. To now read that the Kano Governor gave them one million naira is absurd.

  3. NO, LAILAI, DIE FOR WHO. Nigeria is a country u will die for and your death will mean nothing and will make no change. My principle is, do all that is in your power, make a difference but its beyond my ability to want to die for a nation like ours.

    1. Exactly! The people who die for America or Britain get immortalised and they are always remembered. Who will remember me if I die for this country? Day one - flag will be flown at half mast and after that nothing! I will be forgotten. I am sorry, I cannot die for Nigeria.

  7. Lmao! I agree with the pple that called in jare.which kain die for them! These pple that died for the emir actually had a relationship with him, am sure he feed them paid fees , cared for them if not am sure they wld have taken to their heels, 4men took to protecting 1man very noble of them, am sure some pple would say its a part of their culture or the oats they swore, but we all know in real life, no one will die for the other if that person wasn't worth their lives.

Die for Nigeria? Abeg what has Nigeria done for us that we should die for her? BTW the palace guards were caught in the crossfire. They did not use their bodies as shields. Nonsense!

  17. Like what that follow said, since it's the Government officials and very few other individuals that are enjoying Nigeria's wealth, they too should be the ones to die for Nigeria. Now, I heard they even loot and keep for their fifth to sixth generations yet unborn. Let them, their families and their unborn generations also die for Nigeria. I believe there is justice there.

  18. Most definitely NOT! Neither Nigeria nor its leaders inspire me enough to even harbour that notion. I believe one of the reasons a lot of us would so readily answer that question in the negative is because of the disrespectful manner the memories of our heroes have been treated in the past and the usual neglect of their families by the Nigerian government.

    1. That 10% are the Boko Harams. I used to think all Nigerians loved life and we couldn't produce suicide bombers! But alas Boko haram proved me wrong. Bloody Motherfucker, who will rot in hell with their zero virgins. I can never die for anyone let alone one sillyass corrupted country.
