Remember the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero was recently attacked when he was about leaving Masalacin Murtala area of Kano metropolis where he had gone to attend a Qurfanic graduation ceremony.
The Emir had barely spent 10 minutes there when it was time to leave, before gunmen, operating on motocycle (Okada), opened fire on his convoy. His driver and three guards lost their lives. While his first son was badly hit by bullets and the Emir on his right hand. They are both said to be responding to treatment now.
In the meantime, Gov. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of Kano State has donated the sum of N1 million and a three-bedroom flat each to the families of the aides of the Emir who lost their lives during the attack.

Nice of you to bring the news here after it's gone stale.
ReplyDeleteI thought he was attacked in a car that looked like a vintage Rolls Royce? It looked blueish in other reports.
Kwankwaso must be drunk on his hype. 1 million naira? Come on "your excellency" you can do better. Is he back from India? They said he hurriedly left government house for check up a day after the attack.
I guess this was one of the cars in his convoy.
ReplyDeleteVery kind of him. If it was the government, what we will see there is 'promised to compensate the bereaved families' but they never get a dime. Its a good thing im seeing 'donated'. Ladun you make commenting foolish of us. It takes forever to see our comments. Weldone.
ReplyDeleteSo really the emir of Kano was hit by bullets, come on this is way out of hand, we got a major crisis in this country,
ReplyDeleteIs he any more human or better than the thousands of Nigerians that have been killed so far by Insurgents
Deleterolling my eyes!
Probably one of the cars in his convoy. The emir was riding in a vintage stretch Rolls Royce with his sons.
